Recently I posted this image to a Sleep Apnea Facebook group and one of the comments was “if it only worked that way”. Unfortunately, that person couldn’t see the possibilities …and it really does work that way.
To be fair, I am getting more than just one (1) additional hour of good sleep. In other posts and my e-book, I have written about how I am now getting near-perfect sleep without a medical device and it has been nearly eight (8) weeks so far.
Earlier this week, a recruiter called me to talk about a job, with a pay raise of 36-64% (there was a large bonus involved). I believe that is a direct result of having the ability to create and refine a cover letter and resume that better expresses my unique skills and talents. That didn't happen before I was getting near-perfect sleep. These are the benefits that I have seen so far:
Increased self-awareness. As I was refining my resume and cover letter, a flood of ideas popped into my head about viewing it from different perspectives, which made a huge improvement.
Better memory. When I was younger I had an extremely good memory and during my “sleep apnea” days it was a bit foggy. This has started to change back … a big win!
New ideas come easily. Creative ideas about new businesses and options in life have started to blossom again!
Some additional changes:
Increased happiness
More confidence
Less Anxiety
Increased ease with being social
Taking more emotional risks is not difficult
Life is much easier when you are getting near-perfect sleep!
