This morning, something came up in my mind that had been bothering me from a long time ago. My wife was washing special chopsticks we had purchased in Japan and they broke. In the past, this needle stuck in my mind (not quite a grudge but an annoyance with some judgment) would have been there forever. I would have pushed it down and thought I am afraid to say anything out of fear that it will make things worse. So "stuff it and forget about it". This reminds me about a Book of Mormon musical number.
In any case, has this ever happened to you? Unfortunately, when you "push it down" and "forget about it", your mind doesn't really let it go. It will just come up again at a later time and it accumulates. It adds stress to your mind and body that you don't realize. The great thing about calm sleep as I have recently discovered, is that these needles are easier to let go of. What do I mean? You bring them up in a non-judgmental way and it gets resolved easily. You laugh about it together and poof, it's gone. You have just reduced your stress debt. You don't have to read 20 articles about how to get rid of stress. Life is just easier when you are getting calm sleep! The stress reduction happened automatically and I didn't have to analyze it or stress over what to do with it. It's gone now! I remember when my sleep apnea was at its worst and any relief to make life easier was a big thing.
Focus all of your energy on getting calm sleep and I guarantee you, it will change your life when you achieve it!
