Sleep Insights (Part 11) : Want More Patience?

Updated: Sep 29

I was reading an article today about how to have more patience and it occurred to me that doing 10 things is just too complicated. I want the benefits of patience but trying to remember to do all of these things seems a bit stressful.

What if you didn't need to do a checklist of 10 or 25 items and patience was easier to organically grow in your life? Sounds like a miracle, right? It is real and having more patience in your life is possible. Patience and stress are related, so when you reduce the stress in your body or your body has more capacity to allow stress to "roll off your back", so to speak, your capacity for patience automatically increases. This is a side benefit of solving your sleep apnea situation and a huge one that isn't talked about enough.

After I started getting near-perfect sleep for 8+ weeks, I noticed that when my wife or daughter were stressed, it didn't affect me like it used to. It was literally like I had a raincoat and the raindrops of stress just ran off of me and dropped to the floor. I don't really know how to explain it other than ... life is so much easier than it was before. It is 100% attributable to the calm sleep that I am getting in my life now. I don't have to worry about ... will I be snoring and bothering other people ... will I stop breathing and will it affect my brain and body ... and many other stresses. Life issues just don't seem as big as they were before. I think there is hope for you. If I can do it, so can you.
