This may not be conventional but I have found that balance in your foundation helps achieve better posture more easily. Before I discovered this, I did a lot of exercises and my good posture would not last very long. Here is the key, feel your feet and notice how your weight is distributed. Do you stand on the balls of your feet? Do you lean back on the heels of your feet?
My philosophy and what I have discovered is that when you train yourself and do exercises to put your weight on the center on your feet, posture exercises produce better results and your good posture will last longer. This is important in getting calm sleep and solving your sleep apnea. This allows you to stand taller and if you look in the mirror, your spine from your middle back to your head can be more vertical.

I guess you can do it that way but it is so complicated, how do you remember to do all those things simultaneously. My system is much simpler, it is a combination of balancing your weight and doing a series of three exercises that take about 2-3 minutes total. Each exercise is designed to strengthen your lower and middle back, straighten your spine, and release the tension in your neck as you do the exercises, so that your posture feels natural.
Here is an article that describes some additional benefits of good posture, especially as you age:
